Luxury South Coast Wedding Venue

Located two hours by car from Sydney, Seacliff House, is situated on the NSW South Coast, which is an area of stunning natural beauty.

Rolling green hills dotted with dairy cows cascade towards the ocean and for any couple this is not only the ideal setting but its natural beauty makes it the most romantic place to host a wedding.

The South Coast of NSW is a unique place; having been settled by Irish immigrants who felt the areas landscape reminded them of home. The easy drive from Sydney makes it accessible for guests but its more than that…it’s like stepping into another world so close to Sydney but yet far away so you really feel like you are having a break.

Seacliff House is three minutes by car to Gerringong, which is a bustling town filled with cafes, shops and restaurants. Located about the same distance is Werri beach, one of the areas premier surfing beaches. South Werri boasts a right hand point break, which when it’s working, is an amazing place for surfers. The North End of Werri is also a really good surf spot (when the South end is flat) but the beach is famous because it has many beach breaks up and down the beach where great waves can be caught.

A right hand turn out of Seacliff House, will take visitors towards the coastal town of Kiama and the seven-minute drive along the winding coastline offers unsurpassed views of the South Coast. With the freeway near its upgrade completion, it’s just a short drive to the bustling town of Berry, with its trendy shops, artisan markets and delicious bakeries and cafes.

Gerroa is a very quaint seaside town on 7-Mile beach and is located a further five minute drive from Gerringong, with lots of great accommodation on offer for wedding visitors. If you are not staying at Seacliff and attending a wedding, in fact Gerringong, Gerroa and Berry have lots of fabulous options. The best thing for you to do is visit South Coast Holidays who are our agents and very well connected in the area to all the best accommodation available. The venue is a do-it- yourself, which offers couples the flexibility to create their own bespoke magical wedding, allowing you to have complete creative control. With room for up to 150 guests, Seacliff House can provide a full list of suppliers from the local area who can offer expert advice as only locals can. There are some amazing local suppliers that Seacliff House works closely with. Some examples of these are Vanessa from Wedding and Event Creators who has styled many amazing weddings at Seacliff. Another fav venue for before or after parties is The Co-operative in Gerringong which has been operating in industry since the 1800’s and has lots of character as well as being a working distillery. Seacliff House is set on five acres of environmentally zoned land meaning the views can never be built out. What’s more impressive though is the 360 degree 500 acre plus view of the land we are surrounded by. It neighbours a working dairy farm to the north and a Wagyu beef farm across the highway. Seacliff has an approved DA to run weddings and events on our property so no matter where you choose to get married, make sure that the venue is compliant with their local council.

The house was built in the late 1980’s and purchased by current owners Brendan and Amanda in 2015, which over a short period of time lightened the house with skylights and a colour palate to reflect the open spaces around the property. Both avid decorators, the house has been furnished to give it that home away from home feeling. It’s homely, comfortable and offers great social spaces for entertaining. Both Brendan and Amanda feel that a home, holiday or not, takes time to build and you have to acquire pieces slowly if you want that space to feel special. They feel that Seacliff House has been able to achieve that goal. Friends, family and guests of Seacliff have a feeling of being relaxed the moment that they drive in.

The house features five bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms and is a contemporary designed property.

In November 2017, the properties old farm shed was converted into a stunning Barn, which encompasses the stunning ocean views Seacliff House is renowned for. Floor to ceiling black steel framed windows will run for over 20 metres along the eastern view side of the barn and will feature concrete floors and an inviting sandstone fireplace for the cooler months.
